(G)I-DLE has set a new impressive feat with the release of their latest album!
On October 17 KST, (G)I-DLE made their much-anticipated return to the scene with the release of the group's fifth mini-album, 'I love.' Along with the album's release, (G)I-DLE' music video for the title track "Nxde" was also unveiled. The pre-orders for the group's album have surpassed a whopping 700,000 units, setting a new feat for the group, according to Cube Entertainment on the 11th.
According to the data released by Hanteo, the final first-day sales count for their latest album was 314,393 copies. Making (G)I-DLE only the fourth K-Pop female group to achieve this feat, after BLACKPINK, aespa, and IVE.
'I love' not only broke their personal record for first-day sales but also for first-week sales. The group's recently released album broke the previous record set by 'I NEVER DIE,' which sold around 176,000 copies during the first week of release, implying that 'I love' only took one day to break their personal best in first-week sales on Hanteo.
In terms of (G)I-DLE first-day sales record before 'I love's release, 'I trust' was the group's highest-selling album, which recorded over 91,000 sales on the first day of its release, meaning 'I love' has tripled the number of its sales.
Congratulations to (G)I-DLE on their achievement!
