Choreographer Anze Skrube has stepped up with a full statement regarding the ongoing plagiarism controversy surrounding 'Street Man Fighter' dancer Vata and his choreography for Zico's "New Thing".
Earlier, controversy stirred as members of ATEEZ seemingly called out Vata, using a form of calling out used in dance called "biting", to accuse the dancer of copying a dance seen in ATEEZ's "Say My Name".
Afterward, the original creators of ATEEZ's "Say My Name" choreography became involved, showing that they were aware of the controversy and that they supported ATEEZ.
Now, Anze Skrube has issued a full, clarifying statement to address the ongoing debate. In his statement, Anze confirmed that he believed Vata's choreography copied a specific sequence move from ATEEZ's 'Say My Name'. The choreographer went on to state that this was "not okay," and that "if you get inspired by something, [the] least you could do is credit the creators."
The choreography for ATEEZ's "Say My Name" was created by Josh Smith, Anze Skrube, and Johnny Erasme.
Where are the “professionals” on twitter who backed Vat now?
Ateez has been pilgiarised a lot this year. From album cover to song wave, their storyline and now this. No wonder they are vexed up and decided to call out publicly
