Actor Kang Ji Hwan and Jellyfish Entertainment have been ordered to pay production studio Studio Santa Claus 5.3 billion Won in damages for his 2019 sexual assault.
On October 12, Studio Santa Claus confirmed the court's final ruling, stating, "Kang Ji Hwan and Jellyfish were ordered to pay 5.30 billion Won ($3,713,280.70 USD) in restitution fees." The actor was starring in TV Chosun's 'Joseon Survival Period' during his sexual assault controversy. As he had to drop out of the drama and production had already filmed 12 episodes, Studio Santa Clause sued for restitution.
As previously reported, Kang Ji Hwan confessed to sexually assaulting two contracted agency employees after drinking with them in his home in July of 2019. He was then given a sentence of 2 years and 6 months in prison with a probationary period of 3 years, which means if he commits a similar crime within a 3-year period he'll be serving jailtime.
The court acknowledged this past May that Kang Ji Hwan and Jellyfish Entertainment, which he was under an exclusive contract with when the drama was being produced, were responsible for paying the damages as according to his contract with the production company. Studio Santa Claus has now officially won the lawsuit.

I hate how little punishment there is for SA in Korea. What a POS.
Also, JelPee probably has so little money, I wouldn't be surprised if this puts them under or close too it.
