BLACKPINK's latest album rapidly sold over one million copies!
On September 16 KST, global girl group BLACKPINK made their long-awaited return to the K-Pop scene with their newest album 'Born Pink'. With their recent comeback, the girl group has even proved their unfading popularity as their album sales are rapidly growing in numbers.
According to the data released by the Hanteo chart, 'Born Pink' accumulated over a whopping one million copies sold on the first day, setting a new record among girl groups. Tallying over one million sales in less than a day into its release, BLACKPINK's album has broken the record of the highest-selling album by a K-Pop girl group on the first day in Hanteo history; the record was previously held by aespa's 'Girls'.
In addition, BLACKPINK is the third K-Pop group to have an album exceeding one million copies on the first day, after BTS and Seventeen.
