Although 2022 is not over yet, 4th generation K-Pop groups continue to prove their influence in the Japanese music market. Known for their high album sales, 4th generation K-Pop boy groups also took the top 5 on the Oricon album chart. (In Japan, Oricon is in the same class as Korea's Hanteo and the US's Billboard.)
These boy groups have managed to gain a large fan base despite not being able to meet their fans face-to-face very often due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and some of them have never been to Japan yet.
Here are the top-selling 4th generation K-Pop groups on Oricon so far in 2022:
1. ENHYPEN - 707,749
2. Stray Kids - 270,321
3. TXT - 234,746
4. TREASURE - 166,711
5. ATEEZ - 104,801
Congratulations to all the 4th generation K-Pop groups on the list!
I honestly thought I wouldn't be able to get into 4th generation idol groups. I know age shouldn't matter when stanning an idol group (and it doesn't) but, I personally would creep myself out if I was obsessing over an idol member and he was like 17 y/o💀💀💀
I'm only 27 but still lmao. Anyways the point is ATEEZ, TXT and Stray Kids is definitely a 4th generation group to look out for especially ATEEZ .
I'm still shook that their debut album sounded like a group that has been around for 7+years that is pretty cool when I listen to their debut album I thought this was just another boy group that debuted that I didn't know about cause so many groups debut with names I either can't pronounce or remember lol but they definitely a group that catches my attention now and again.
