BTS's Kim Taehyung surpasses EXO and becomes the 7th most-followed K-pop account on Spotify

Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, has now surpassed the boy group EXO and has become the 7th most-followed K-pop account on Spotify, one of the largest streaming platforms in the world.

Taehyung has already established himself as a successful soloist and achieved many records with just three K-drama OSTs under his profile, namely 'Christmas Tree,' 'Sweet Night,' and 'It's Definitely You.'

Taehyung is currently the only K-pop act among the top 10 most-followed accounts without an album or mixtape release. He joins the three rappers from his own group, J-Hope, RM, and Suga, as the only K-pop soloists who entered the top 10. 

As his personal music preferences vastly differ from those of his own group, critics and fans anticipate the direction he will choose for his solo debut album. Since he wrote & produced BTS's most successful B-side 'Blue & Grey,' people are also excited to see his much-improved songwriting and producing skills on his upcoming album.
