Jimin's impact and potential as a soloist have been a hot topic for a long time. He has mainly proven his capabilities as a solo artist from how impressively well his solo songs under BTS' discography have performed, going by the many records that each of them holds on major music buying and streaming platforms and major music charts around the world. This impact was further seen in full effect when he released his first official project outside of BTS, the duet OST for 'Our Blues' drama 'With You.' He has and continues to be praised extensively for the success of the OST both on domestic and international music platforms. 

Just recently, Korean media made a publication where Jimin was named as the BTS member with the most popular solo tracks globally and whose solo tracks have maintained steady popularity around the world [read here]. Just as his artistry is exalted time and again, he is indeed proving why he deserves and has earned all these praises by living up to the titles and crowns accorded to him. On June 8, Jimin reached new milestones and set new records on Spotify, the biggest music streaming platform in the world, yet again proving his unmatched power and success as a solo act.

He set two records on the same day, the first one being with the songs under his name. His Spotify account surpassed 100 million streams, and he only has one song ('With You' and its instrumental version) under his profile. By so doing, he became the fastest Korean male soloist to surpass 100 million streams on his account in Spotify history, a feat that he achieved in under 74 days.

The second record involved the streams accumulated from all his solo songs under BTS' discography. Combining streaming numbers from 'Filter,' 'Lie,' and 'Serendipity' (both Intro and Full Length Edition), Jimin has now surpassed 800 million streams, becoming the first and only Korean male solo act to achieve this feat with three solo songs.

Fans celebrated his significant achievements by sending him congratulatory messages and showering him with words of love, praise, and admiration. Consequently, various tags entered twitter trends, including 'SPOTIFY KING JIMIN,' 'GLOBAL IT BOY JIMIN,' and #JiminSpotify800M, among others.
