One of the ways fans can take a close look at their favorite idol is at music shows such as 'Inkigayo,' where artists perform for their fans.
The location where fans can see the idol groups the closest is the standing section in front of the stage. Therefore, many fans hope to make it to the music shows and be allocated at the location right in front of the stage.
Recently, the SBS music show released a statement revealing that there will be new height restrictions on Inkigayo's standing section.
According to the announcement, anyone taller than 160 cm (5 feet 3 inches) will be directed to the sitting area, which is a bit further than the standing section. Previously, the height restriction was 165 cm tall (5 feet 4 inches tall), but the show decided to decrease the height.
Many K-pop fans were disappointed with the new height restriction, but some were relieved as they did not apply to this new restriction. Netizens commented, "Man, I'm over that height," "How can they decrease the height?! Now I can't be in the standing section," "Oh, I don't apply to the change, since I am still shorter than this," "Oh I still can go to the standing section," and "I'm right at the cut line lol."
