On July 29, Kang Tae Oh's agency Man of Creation announced that the 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' star will be enlisting for mandatory military service soon.
The agency projected that Kang Tae Oh will enlist around August or September this year. Man of Creation explained, "Kang Tae Oh must enlist by the end of this year. He has not received a summons letter yet, so he is waiting for it."
The actor has recently gained international fame through the popular series 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo.' However, many fans are expressing their disappointment and saying it's a shame that Kang Tae Woo can't even take advantage of all the advertisement model offers and new projects he would be offered with this newfound fame.
Fans commented, "This is disappointing," "I wonder if he can push back his enlistment, he should continue when he's starting to get international fame," "Can he delay his enlistment?" "This is such a shame he has to go to the military just when he's getting so famous worldwide," "I can't believe he has to enlist," "So sad that he has to take a hiatus right after a successful series," "There's a saying, 'Strike when the iron is hot!" "He's probably getting so many advertisement deals too, so sad he can't take advantage of that," and "I'll be waiting for him to come back."
He's been acting for at least 7 years, it's unfortunate that he's only just starting gain recognition and that now he has to enlist without being able to fully reap the fruits of his labour. Then again that's just how life is.
