BTS Kim Taehyung's Drive Vlog sets the record for the most-viewed Vlog in 24 hours and receives love from numerous artists

Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, captivated fans when he released his 'Drive Vlog' on July 9. It was the first in a series of 'BTS VLOG' that are being released for each member of the group. 

Taehyung kickstarted his 52-minute vlog by going on a drive across town while playing music. His handsome face, charming wit, and fun personality hooked fans and made them feel like they were on a date with him. 

Aside from taking fans on a drive, he showed a glimpse of his daily life. He was seen visiting his dentist, going to a restaurant, playing indoor golf, and visiting some of nature’s beautiful places to relax.

Taehyung's vlog proved to be an explosive topic and garnered a huge amount of interest on various social media platforms. Within the first 24 hours, his video racked up over 8.1 million views and 1.5 million likes, setting the record for the most-viewed and most-liked vlog on Youtube. 

In addition, Taehyung’s vlog was also the 2nd most-viewed and most-liked video on Youtube worldwide for the first 24 hours. He was only second to a new MV release by a popular K-pop group. 

Taehyung was seen jamming to about 30 of his recent favorite songs that showed off his wide spectrum in music taste and included bossa nova, jazz, old pop, pop, R&B, and orchestra music. 

Many artists that were featured on his playlist reciprocated the love he showed, which further generated more buzz around his video. Among them were Lizzo, Chris James, Elley Duhe, Cautious Clay, Paolo Sandejas, and the official estate for Bing Crosby. 

Other artists that were not featured in his playlist also showed interest in Taehyung's choice of music, including Ryan Tedder of the rock band One Republic and Jojo.

Taehyung's healing vlog was a huge treat to the fans, and everyone's hoping he releases more of them in the near future!
