Global 4th generation group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) has achieved an impressive feat in sales with their latest album!
On May 9 KST, TXT returned with their highly-anticipated fourth mini-album, 'minisode 2: Thursday's Child,' which features "Good Boy Gone Bad" as its title song. The album recorded a significant number in album sales as it accumulated 918,413 copies sold on its first day, according to the data released by the Hanteo chart. This means TXT has broken their own record in first-day album sales as their previous album, 'The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE,' only sold around 294,000 copies on its first day. Not only did the group break its record in first-day sales, but TXT also set a new personal best in first-week sales, just only on the first day of their brand new album's release. The record was previously set by 'The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE,' which had around 630,000 album sales.
With this, TXT's 'minisode 2: Thursday's Child' has now become the highest-selling album released in 2022 by a K-Pop group in first-day sales, and second overall, just behind Lim Young Woong's 'IM HERO,' with only approximately 20,000 difference in first-week album sales. In addition, 'minisode 2: Thursday's Child' has become the sixth-highest-selling album in first-day sales by a Korean act of all-time on Hanteo. TXT now joins BTS and Lim Young Woong as the only acts to have an album selling over 900,000 copies on the first day of release.
Congratulations to TXT on their successful comeback! Have you watched their music video for "Good Boy Gone Bad"?
