Some feel disappointed over BTS's 'Proof' being an anthology album instead of a full album

Just a day ago, BTS kicked off the preparation for releasing their new album 'Proof' by dropping a logo teaser video.
When the teaser video was released, many fans were excited as they were expecting a brand new album from the global K-pop act. However, the album's details were released, revealing that the new album will be an anthology album with only three new tracks.
Therefore, Korean fans and netizens expressed their disappointment as they expected a new full-length album to be released this year since BTS has not released a full-length album since 2020.
Netizens commented, "I'm not a fan but I understand how fans are feeling right now," "BTS needs to form an agency on their own, it's so obvious that the company only sees them as money bags now," "I'm so disappointed, I was looking forward to a new album," "I was waiting for two years for a new album but they're just releasing a 'best of' album?? I'm so sad and disappointed. Seems like HYBE wants to focus on webtoons and games," "The time since they released a full album has been so long but they decided to release a best-of album? They only release two new songs last year too," "Give us a proper full album dang it," and "Wow, HYBE thanks for letting us down so much."
I can understand why some, and I think the key word there is SOME, not ALL fans are disappointed because they look forward to the new releases and may have all the past albums. However as an ARMY of four years I was pleased at the thought of getting an anthology album, it just seems so epic to have all their hits in one place and of course the new singles are something to look forward to. On a side note, just a clown thought 🤡 but I wonder if by summarizing their entire career into one album they are signaling the close of something. It makes me wonder with all this military talk if they as a group are deciding to go to military as a compete unit (if no exemption occurs in time for Jin) and then return in a little over a year with an all new album to signal the start of the group post military. Am probably 100% wrong but just the format made me wonder on the possibility.

They have been working their butts off since 2013 .... give them a break lmaoo. Some of yall are so demanding ... content is still content and it still requires effort and work.
