EXO's Suho attended the Korean studies conference recently held at Stanford University, where he discussed the influence of the 'Hallyu wave'.
On May 19 and 20, Stanford University held a conference for Korean studies, and EXO member Suho attended the first day of the conference as a panel discussion member. Here, Suho talked about the Hallyu wave along with CJ ENM America's CEO Angela Killoren and Stanford University's professors.
In particular, Suho prepared a special presentation, where he discussed his 10 years of experience as a K-pop artist, his experiences with the Hallyu wave, and his thoughts on Hallyu's influence, large scale, and goals in detail. Suho stated, "We feel the power of the Hallyu wave not only on stage, but in our everyday lives. Dance cover videos on social media are evidence that Hallyu and K-pop are not one-sidedly visible contents. As producer Lee Soo Man always says, Hallyu has become a recreatable content that everyone can enjoy and participate in together." He continued to state that the dancers of the dance cover videos had caught onto the details that he himself had not noticed, and thus, he learned of the heavy weight of his responsibility as an artist.
