On May 26, Chinese singer Yuyan released her music video for "WHO," and it's gaining much attention... but for the wrong reasons.
Chinese netizens are accusing the singer of plagiarizing Taeyeon's "INVU," which was released earlier this year in February.
These Chinese netizens posted various captured photos showing the music video resemblance on the social media platform Weibo. Starting with the setting of the music video, there were several scenes, such as the white-columned hall and the barren desert. Additionally, Yuyan is seen wearing similar attires as Taeyeon. There were even certain aspects of the music video that highly resembled Taeyeon's "INVU," such as the explosion scene.
Korean netizens also commented on the matter and saw the resemblances and have joined in accusing Yuyan of plagiarizing. Netizens commented, "Wow, if they were going to copy her, they should have done a proper job, lol," "This is not a surprise anymore," "They have so many people in their country but not one is creative?" "The quality is so bad," "lol, there's Chinese netizens who are saying that concept is very common," "That's not a common concept," "It's so obvious they copied Taeyeon," "I was going to get angry but this is actually funny because the quality is bad," "They still can't be as good as the original," "At this point, it looks almost like a parody lol," and "The clothes are so similar too."
Think abt it this way: "Imitation is the sincerest of flattery!"
