'Broker', directed by Koreeda Hirokazu, has released its main trailer, starring Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, IU, Bae Doo Na, and Lee Joo Young.
The main trailer begins one rainy day, when two brokers find a crying baby left inside a baby box. A note accompanying the infant reads, "I'm sorry, Woo Sung. I'll be back for you, I promise."
The two rather odd, "professional" brokers, Sang Hyun (Song Kang Ho) and Dong Soo (Kang Dong Won), believe that the baby has been abandoned by its parents, and sets out to find a better home for the infant. However, right before they depart, a baby's mother, So Young (IU), appears, complicating matters.
Meanwhile, two detectives trail Sang Hyun, Dong Soo, So Young, and Woo Sung, suspecting that the two brokers are out to make money from the baby. The sunbae detective, Soo Jin, tells her hoobae, "We have to catch them red-handed."
Selected as a competition entry for the upcoming '2022 Cannes Film Festival' taking place from May 17-28, Koreeda Hirokazu's 'Broker' is slated to premiere in theaters across South Korea on June 6. Check out the film's main trailer, below!
