BTS member SUGA, also known as rapper Agust D, released his solo mixtape 'D-2' back in 2020. The lyrics he wrote for his track "What Do You Think?" are regaining attention two years later due to ongoing discussions regarding BTS's military service decision. This comes after HYBE Labels recently revealed that the BTS members themselves are also suffering from lack of clarity and urged the National Assembly to come to a decision soon.
In SUGA's track "What Do You Think?" SUGA briefly touched upon the topic of his military service, amidst the ongoing debate on whether BTS's achievement is considered great enough to get exempted from South Korea's mandatory military service or not. Notably, male athletes who win any medal at the Olympics or a gold medal at the Asian Games are exempted from active duty service. SUGA's lyrics tells the people who are constantly using BTS's name for headlines to be silent, and that he will go to the military when the time comes.
SUGA's lyrics in "What Do You Think?" is as follows:
"Woo woo, we'll be sure to go to the military when it's time, so
All the bastards who tried to sell our name to freeload off us, shut up".

It's obvious they are going to go, they have said MULITPLE times for YEARS now that they would...Why on earth would they go back on their word? Lying to the public is the fastest way to get "canceled" in Korea anyways. If what that staff is saying is true then they obviously just need clarity if they can delay the enlistment by a year or two for them to plan their concerts, albums, mixtapes, etc.
At the end of the day they are all going to enlist and it will prolly be all together like the rumor a while back stated, which is why they are preparing so much content in advance. Like i get ya'll hate BTS because they are at the top and your favs aren't, but is it really that hard to stop taking KPOP so seriously for one second and use your brains to be objective and logical? Yeesh, the hate for BTS on this site and in general is astounding...
