On April 28, at the honorary degree ceremony held at the most prestigious university in South Korea, Seoul National University, HYBE Chairman Bang Si-Hyuk was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in business administration.
Seoul National University President Oh Se-Jeong awarded the degree and mentioned Bang Si-hyuk's contribution to the expansion and innovation of Korean culture and arts as the reason for granting the degree.
"Chairman Bang Si-hyuk played an important role in making Korea's K-pop becoming a global phenomenon, and I highly value what he has accomplished," said Professor Choi Hae-Cheon of the school’s engineering department in his speech.
