Fans have become ecstatic after seeing 2NE1 reunite at this year's Coachella.
On April 16, the 2NE1 members made a surprise appearance at the world-class music festival that took place in California. This was the first time in six years and four months since the girl group members performed together at the 'Mnet Asian Music Awards' back in 2015.
Minzy then had a written interview with StarNews on April 18 after returning from Coachella and shared how she felt. She explained, "It was really nice and I was excited to see so many different faces while performing at a big event with all the members. It was a moment I felt so many different emotions."
The singer also shared her gratitude toward the fans who had warmly welcomed 2NE1 at Coachella and continued to elaborate, "We prepared for the performance while thinking about our fans who waited for us and I did think they would be happy to see us. But, on the other hand, I was worried thinking they might have forgotten us. Still, they showed us much support and interest so I am very thankful."
Minzy shared, "We were told about Coachella at CL's birthday. While preparing for the performance, we were able to speak with one another about how we've been in our lives. We openly shared our thoughts about the performance and the fans who are waiting for us. We were able to prepare while making good memories."
Meanwhile, 2NE1's performance at Coachella was a surprise. Coachella and 2NE1 members maintained strictly confidentially until the actual performance took place at the event. CL first performed solo just as was scheduled, and the other three members appeared on stage thereafter.
Minzy concluded by saying, "It was a time that all four of us were grateful for just being able to prepare such a wonderful stage together like this. I think that this is another event that will be recorded in our lives. We will remain as one in everyone's heart and we will do our best for the fans who have been waiting for all four of us."
Besides being slack-jawed to hear that all FOUR OF THEM were back onstage TOGETHER, I can only [poorly] imagine what it must have felt for all four to be back onstage LIVE in front of a crowd that was losing its collective mind at seeing them there right in front of them.
This WILL really go down in K-pop history as a Truly Legendary Moment.
All you Blackjacks that were fortunate enough to have been there in person to see it, cherish this for the rest of us.
