EXO's Lay has shared a set of handwritten letters to fans, celebrating the group's 10th debut anniversary.
In his letter, Lay wrote:
"Ten years of growth. Thank you all.
Thank you to my EXO brothers for your company and encouragement.
Thanks to my colleagues at SM for witnessing every step of my growth and achievement.
Thank you to all of my fans for your unconditional love and support.
It's time to say goodbye as an employee of SM.
It's also my new beginning as a 30-year old.
But I will always be the Lay when my members need me.
I'm your family member in China, Zhang Yixing.
Love you forever.
EXO, let's love."
It seems that Lay has decided to part ways with his debut agency, SM Entertainment, exactly 10 years after debut. However, the singer made sure to assure fans that this does not signal his departure from EXO.
Meanwhile, April 8, 2022 marks EXO's 10th debut anniversary. Happy anniversary to the members!
Knowing how extremely popular Lay is in China, this news doesn't really come off as a surprise. He also has his own agency/company now. More importantly, it's been years since he last promoted in SK. Best of luck to Lay, hope he flies higher in the future.
