Director Koreeda Hirokazu's first Korean film, 'Broker' has announced its official premiere date for June 8.
Starring a star-studded cast lineup made up of Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, IU, Bae Doo Na, Lee Joo Young, and more, 'Broker' tells the story of a band of travelers who come together because of an abandoned baby box, shrouded in mystery.
In light of the film's official premiere date announcement, distributor CJ ENM has also released two new posters featuring the production's lead cast. First, in one poster, the band of travelers sit together with a baby among them, smiling warmly. In the second poster, each of the characters wear different expressions, with some gazing off in one direction, while others look to another, each carrying a different agenda in their hearts.
Song Kang Ho and Kang Dong Won will be taking on the roles of two brokers, Sang Hyun and Dong Soo, whose latest job is to find a safe place for an abandoned infant. IU joins these two as a young mother, So Young, who returns shortly after abandoning her baby. Finally, Bae Doo Na takes on the role of detective Soo Jin, joined by Lee Joo Young as her subordinate, Lee.
