Recently, malicious comments about IVE's Jang Won Young are crossing the line on the web.

There is one comment in particular that has been controversial online recently. This comment contains the contents of recruiting applicants who will intentionally make malicious comments toward Jang Won Young. The commenter explained, "I will give 50 KRW (~ 0.04 USD) for short comments and 100 KRW (~0.08 USD) for long comments," adding to the shock as they are willing to pay these malicious commenters.

There have been many of these malicious comments on the contents relating to Jang Won Young recently. There are negative comments directed at her team members and are also comments that support those negative comments. In particular, videos made with aggressive intentions toward Jang Won Young are constantly being posted on YouTube.

Nevertheless, there are also netizens who are perplexed that these malicious commenters can harbor this level of antagonism towards an 18-year-old girl.

Jang Won Young began being recognized through the program 'Produce 48' and earned the title of being 'born to be an idol.' She also proved her popularity by debuting with IZ*ONE maintaining a high ranking throughout the show. 

However, after her promotion with IZ*ONE came to an end, there has been an increasing number of malicious comments directed at Jang Won Young. After beginning her promotions with IVE alongside IZ*ONE's Ahn Yu Jin, there were more videos, comments, and online community posts attacking the young idol and expressing their hate towards Jang Won Young.

An official from a broadcasting company explained, "It is true that Jang Won Young was popular and had a positive reaction from netizens but then I think the reason for the change in the reaction is due to some people are starting to see Jang Won Young as competition to the other members from IZ*ONE who are now promoting individually."

In response, Starship Entertainment explained that the agency is also struggling with various malicious comments created about their artist. The agency explained that they're having difficulties because there are so many malicious comments against their artist, who had not caused any issue while promoting.

Therefore, Starship Entertainment formed a monitoring team and is collecting malicious comments and posts about their artists, including Jang Won Young. The agency explained they are taking the preliminary steps for future legal actions against the malicious commenters..
