VERIVERY member Minchan has stepped up to issue an apology for his earlier remarks on a 'V Live' broadcast.
Previously, Minchan faced harsh criticism from netizens after sharing a story from his middle school days on 'V Live'. The idol stated that after a female transfer student came to his school, and word got around that she was a girl group member, the encounter "cracked my fantasies about celebrities" because the "person didn't exactly have visuals that stood out." Many netizens also felt that Minchan was "rude" for addressing his former classmate without honorifics.
Now, on January 8 KST, Minchan shared via VERIVERY's official SNS,
"Hello. This is Minchan. I would like to apologize to everyone who felt discomfort due to my comments on 'V Live' during the broadcast on January 6. To ensure that the same issue does not happen again, I will be cautious in my speech and approach my work seriously. I also intend to apologize in person to the individual addressed. I am deeply reflecting on my poor actions and speech, and once again deliver my apologies to everyone."
i am sure his CEO screamed at him to apologise for get out..
but now public image of VERIVERY is going to led to this issue, and searches online will turn out related search terms to this..
i pity his members who are going to suffer because of his actions or words..
i feel sometimes when agencies try to train young kids to be idols and role models, they focus so much on their vocals, dance and rap, body weight but they forgot what MAKES a good role model.. the person's sense of morals and personality is also important..
Which would you rather have .,. Trainee A, who is good in dance and vocals but egoist and proud and rude, or Trainee B who is average but has the personality of YJS for example..
its really sad so many idols are making sillly mistakes on SNS or live broadcasts..or live streams.
