The show gained such immense popularity that the director, who originally had no thoughts of making the following seasons, revealed that he is currently in talks with Netflix for the production of seasons 2 and 3. 

December 28, KST, Hwang Dong Hyuk expressed, "I'm currently in the middle of discussions with Netflix about seasons 2 and 3. I think we'll reach some sort of conclusion soon. We know people are waiting, so everyone is working hard to prepare for the next season with an optimistic outlook."
