On December 17, Jellyfish Entertainment announced that VERIVERY member Yongseung has tested positive for COVID-19 while on tour in the U.S.
Earlier this month, the boys of VERIVERY kicked off their 1st U.S. tour on December 5 in Los Angeles, California. The group then went on to greet fans in Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, St. Louis, and Fort Wayne.
VERIVERY's next show was in fact scheduled on the evening of December 17 in Cleveland, Ohio. However, a few hours before the show's opening, fans were notified of the show's abrupt cancellation due to the fact that someone was experiencing unusual symptoms.
Now, as of December 17, Jellyfish Entertainment has confirmed that member Yongseung has tested positive for COVID-19. All of the other VERIVERY members and their staff have tested negative. Nonetheless, the remainder of VERIVERY's U.S. tour has been inevitably cancelled.
Stay tuned for updates on VERIVERY member Yongseung's recovery, and on the group's return to Korea.
I'm glad that jellyfish cares about their artists and isn't just shoving him in some corner to recover and decided to cancel the remaining shows. I hope his symptoms remain mild and he recovers safely.
