On November 4, entertainment conglomerate HYBE Labels reported a total sales amount of 341 billion KRW (~ $288 million USD), as well as a business profit amount of 65.6 billion KRW (~ $55 million USD) for the third quarter of 2021.
In the third quarter, album sales, MD sales, and licensing profits were identified as the greatest contributors in the increase in overall sales and profits. HYBE Labels reported a total of 129.7 billion KRW (~ $109 million USD) in album sales, thanks to the release of BTS's special single albums as well as TOMORROW x TOGETHER's repackaged album. The company also reported a gross earning of 33.8 billion KRW (~ $28.5 million USD) in advertisement, TV/commercial appearances, and other management areas.
Additionally, the global fan community platform Weverse witnessed a significant increase in monthly active users (~ 6.4 million users) in the third quarter of 2021, shortly after the launch of BLACKPNIK's official Weverse.
Meanwhile, HYBE Labels held a quarterly briefing with the community back on November 4.
