A famous Japanese opera singer analyzes BTS V's voice and says he has a "treasure in his throat"
A Japanese opera singer did a detailed analysis on BTS’ V singing abilities for the Famous Japanese magazine FRAU.
The opera singer started with the characteristics of V's voice;
"V possesses a low, deep baritone voice. He's a boy born with a gem/treasure in his throat. His voice is not just deep. It's soft and has a warmth, bringing depth to any pop song he sings. You can feel body warmth in his voice and in the songs that he makes. It sounds like a small heart beating away."
Then she explained his techniques and how smooth his transition through registers;
"Furthermore, when he sings he makes excellent use of his deep chest voice, head voice, mixed voice and falsetto, drawing on his sweet baritone voice, resulting in transitions so smooth you won't notice how wide his range is from a casual listen. I think that is what makes him amazing. His voice doesn't let you notice how high and low it's really going. He possesses voice control so stress free that the listener doesn't notice it." The opera singer said
She also praised Taehyung's versatile voice and his musical knowledge
"I've also seen videos of him singing Nessun Dorma from Puccini's Turnadot and Lascia ch'io pianga from Handel's Rinaldo. he also practice the violin and the trumpet and plays jazz for his fans on vlive. I believe his enjoyment of a variety of genres diversifies his expressive repertoire."
Another artist that crowns V as the king of expressions. The opera singer pointed out Taehyung's ability to connect with the audience through his voice and expressions.
"One moment his voice is like a whisper, then it's ringing out filled with emotion, swimming, floating as he switches up his expression. I believe that incredibly free expressive power in his and his alone. When he performs live it's as thought something is possessing him and I am enchanted every time."
Taehyung always receiving the highest type of compliments from opera singers to Grammy award winners. He always wins!
