"Filter" by Jimin re-enters The Billboard Japan Download Chart at a new peak ranking
BTS' Jimin's song Filter has achieved massive success since its release over a year ago, recently it set the record on Japan's iTunes as the First BTS solo track, solo from MOTS: 7 and only Jimin solo to rank First in Japan. With this achievement, Filter became the B-side with the most #1's in history at a total of 115. On the 20th, it re-entered this week's Japan Billboard Download Chart at #15 after previously being the second most downloaded song between the 11th and 13th of October.
Along with this, Jimin's Latin pop-inspired track achieved more milestones on the 21st of October when it ranked 8th among BTS' most popular songs on Spotify, having surpassed over 213 Million streams on the same day. On Youtube, its official audio remains the most-streamed Korean audio track on the platform, with over 75 Million streams.
Upon its release, TheRinger declared that Jimin never releases anything that's less than iconic, and this remains true with Filter. Indeed, Filter enjoyed the biggest Spotify debut for a Korean solo track with over 2 Million plays. It got the 3rd highest debut for a solo from MOTS: 7 behind title track 'ON' and 'ON' ft. Sia and was also the highest MOTS: 7 solo charting on Spotify in over 12 countries, including Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. On Amazon, it ranked 3rd after title track 'ON' and 'ON' ft Sia as a Best Seller on the Best Digital Music. The records on YouTube include most liked MOTS: 7 solo, fastest Korean solo to garner 2M streams while being the first Korean official audio to trend in 28 countries. It ranked first in 82 countries and peaked at #2 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart on its first day.
The record-breaking Filter is the most streamed Korean solo track on the largest streaming platform of the Middle East, Anghami, as well as on JioSaavn in India. In South Korea, Filter struck a triple kill by being the only solo to hit over 900k unique listeners and 19M streams on Genie as well as debuting at #6 on the Genie daily chart, on Gaon, it became the most streamed song by a boy group in 2020's mid-year chart as well as only BTS solo nominated for Song of the Year along with Friends on the 10th Gaon Chart Music Awards. Filter also stunned on MelOn as it is the most-streamed solo by any idol group and BTS with over 119 Million streams. Fans who listened to it even left lots of comments praising Jimin, who exuded his prowess and expressed overwhelming duality and charm with the song.
Filter, which showcased his uniqueness and diversity as an artist, is truly a stand out of the Map Of The Soul 7 album, owing to its achievements thus far.
One of my favorite songs of MOTS7 album ❤💜
