BTS’ V’s “Sweet Night” sets the record as the most-streamed Korean OST of all time on Spotify
On the 13th of March 2020, V of BTS released “SweetNight,” a beautiful soundtrack written, composed, produced, and sung by the megastar for the much-loved drama series, “Itaewon Class” starring his best friend and critically-acclaimed actor Park Seo-Joon.
Upon release, “Sweet Night” earned several “first Korean OST to…” titles kicking off its journey to unprecedented success.
In April of 2020, nearly a year after its release, “Sweet Night” set a new record in the global music scene by becoming the first and only song in history to top 118 countries on the worldwide iTunes chart. V achieved this feat by surpassing popular megastars such as Adele, Taylor Swift, and his band, BTS.

The track has now added a new milestone under its belt by becoming the most-streamed Korean OST of all time on Spotify. As of today, the ballad has surpassed “Stay With Me,” which previously held the record on the platform.
In celebration, the hashtag #SNMostStreamedKOST, along with the keywords “RECORD BREAKING SWEET NIGHT” and “OST KING TAEHYUNG,” decorated the trending pages worldwide. Some of the celebratory tweets are below:
