Mexican national TV broadcasts the story of a boy with autism who got "healed" through BTS Jin's song "Epiphany"
The most important impact an artist can achieve is an impact on people's mental state. Jin was named one of the Asian artists that helped destigmatizing mental health problems through their art (especially with his solo song "Abyss"). One of his most powerful solo songs in this matter is definitely "Epiphany."
Mexican national TV made a touching report about a boy named Arturito who was diagnosed with autism, epilepsy, and other illnesses. His mom shared his life story: Arturito used to have terrible autistic spectrum crises when any noise was making him scared and anxious; he was covering his ears, biting and hurting himself. And one day, a miracle happens. Arturito started singing along to a certain song. It turns out that that special song was "Epiphany" by Jin that Arturito once heard.
While watching "Epiphany" MV, the boy touches and kisses the screen that shows Jin's face while singing along to the song that calms down and makes him feel safe and comfortable.
Healing Song Epiphany has always touched our hearts from the very 1st "Im the one I should love" we heard. It's beautiful to know that stories about it's impact & how it opens up a topic, that's sensitive into this generation. We need more singers like
"Everything is calming down by playing Epiphany," his mother said. Arturito is a 3y/o boy diagnosed w/Autism.There was a time when he's hitting his head and biting his lips but the moment he heard Epiphany, he'll stop hurting himself.
Using social media platforms, Arturito's mom shared his story to spread awareness about autism and how music can transform their lives. Since then, the boy became a big fan of Jin and BTS.
"Epiphany" is one of the most legendary songs released by Korean artists. It was named one of the best songs BTS ever released many times. The impact on people this song has is huge.
Every time Jin was performing "Epiphany," the audience was migrating into a theater in another universe. An emotional and skillful singer like Jin handled such difficult philosophically and vocally songs like a boss as well as creating a unique atmosphere using the actor-like stage presence he naturally has.
A creative director of BTS's concert tour praised Jin's solo performance and said it felt like "meeting a god."
"Since Jin sang Epiphany countless times from the LY Tour, his singing ability was perfect, and in the middle break part, his facial expressions were very natural walking up the stairs and standing at the top."
-Kevin Kim of Plan A (Creative Director for BTS Tours)
Jin is the mastermind behind the Love Yourself saga released by BTS, with "Epiphany" crowning it.
epiphany has helped many lives even to non-fans, it's really the self-love anthem. the impact has a wide range to age, language, and gender. also, the emotions jin gave the song added its impact.
Lizzo once added "Epiphany" to her special promoted self-love playlist.
YOU WANT TO TELL ME THAT LIZZO ADDED EPIPHANY TO HER SELF-LOVE PLAYLIST... THIS IS JUST WOW MORE PPL WILL HEAR EPIPHANY'S LYRICS, MELODY AND SEOKJIN'S VOICE
After performing "Epiphany" in Saudi Arabia, Jin became the talk of the country. He trended #1 everywhere, and the audience was left absolutely speechless by his vocal's power. All his solo songs were topping iTunes for weeks as well as Jin's solo stage was the hottest topic in all media outlets of Saudi Arabia. Ever since then, he trends in Saudi Arabia for any occasion, and his songs chart the highest.
I just found on my screenshots: "His performance of "Epiphany" at BTS concert in Riyadh was so noteworthy that the song rose to the #1 spot on Saudi Arabia's Top Song Chart on iTunes"
IMPACT. That's what Jin is all about. When he performed Epiphany in Saudi Arabia, he not only became the most searched member that day but Epiphany skyrocketed to #1 in SA iTunes
In Japan, Jin remains the only K-idol in history to receive a standing ovation (three times), and one of those was done with the "Epiphany" stage (for 2 days straight).
J-Army's gave Epiphany a standing ovation for 2 straight days in Shizuoka. THE WAY I HAD GOOSEBUMPS ALL OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN.
On the largest Korean music platform MelOn, "Epiphany" is the 2nd BTS solo song ever to reach 2,2M unique listeners. It has over 82M streams and is the 2nd most liked solo on the platform. "Epiphany" has surpassed 2.2 Million Unique Listeners, the 2nd BTS solo song to achieve this on MelOn. It also has a total of 82 MILLION streams. Congratulations Jin. HITMAKER JIN 🥳
"Epiphany" is one of the few most commented videos by Korean artists, and people share their stories under it. Another song about mental issues that Jin released - "Abyss," is the most commented audio in the world as the comment section was filled with touching stories about how Jin has helped them.
Sort of miss reading through comments about our HEALING SONG EPIPHANY by Jin.
Two of the highest achievements of an artist was to touch hearts & heal them.
We're so proud of this & Cant say enough how much he's healed so many with his Silvervoice.
The pure impact of Jin's music is undeniable and massive.
epiphany is recognized as one of the songs by asian artists that help destigmatize & open up the conversation of mental health. that says a lot about its impact on people with the beautiful message delivered by seokjin's angelic vocals
I'm happy for Arturito and his mom that his autism has become manageable.
There has been studies that show that music therapy improves Autism/Autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Here are examples:
"Music interventions can improve social communication in school-age children with ASD. Music interventions and music therapy have long been seen as an "alternative" therapy, and have not been readily accepted by the scientific community."
"One of the reasons that music has quickly become a tool used in autism therapy is that it can stimulate both hemispheres of our brain, rather than just one." "Music encourages communicative behavior and can encourage interaction with others, which is something that autistic children have great difficulty with".
"Music therapy helps individuals with ASD identify and appropriately express their emotions. Because music is processed in both hemispheres of the brain, it can stimulate cognitive functioning and may be used for remediation of some speech/language skills"

"Research has shown that music therapy can help children develop or improve particular skills like shared attention. It might help autistic children and children with intellectual disabilities more than typically developing children."
Thank you Jin for being an instrument in Arturito's improvement. You can see in the comment section of Epiphany and Abyss some therapy session going on. Jin you are transforming lives and helping many people across the world with your music. Keep on!
First time I heard this song, I'd only just downloaded a ton of BTS music into my phone since Spotify wasn't legal in my country then. I was going through them while studying and when this one started, I totally focused I of just hearing the music. The chorus pulled tears out of me and I didn't even know what it meant or who exactly sang it.
there' a ton of reasons why I love Seokjin, why he's my bias.
but his voice,it just reaches out to you? It's like you're burying stuff deep inside and it just pulls you out and comforts you. It's my favorite thing ever. I love him
