Following the release of their hit song 'Dynamite' back in 2020, BTS received a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. This was the group's first-ever Grammy nomination and also the first time for any K-pop group/artist to receive a nomination. As such, it was a big deal for BTS. In addition, the group was invited to perform the same song on the Grammys stage, also the first time for them to get a solo stage at the event. No artist from the K-pop industry had performed at this award ceremony before either. Thus, the nomination and the chance to perform individually meant that a lot of attention was on the group.

On September 29, behind-the-scenes footage of the process of recording this performance was posted on BTS' YouTube channel. As expected, the members were nervous about making sure they gave their fans an exceptional stage performance. Jimin's fears and worries were particularly evident in all this, with how he was vocal about his worries and some random thoughts he had. The filming set was at the top of a skyscraper, the Parc1 tower in Yeouido, Seoul.

The footage released shows that Jimin, who has a fear of heights, had all kinds of thoughts going through his mind as he filmed his part of the performance. For example, while in the elevator going up, he says that riding elevators so high up is scary because "what if it just drops?"

He also talks of the need to be careful in his steps because he could fall if he made one wrong step. He proceeds to talk about how it is a risky affair for people like him, who fear heights, to film such scenes. He is so scared of heights that he cannot even ride on amusement park rides.

Nevertheless, despite all the scary thoughts he was having, he pulled himself together and put on a magnificent show. For the people watching him, no one could have guessed he was scared of shooting that scene just minutes before.

In fact, Jimin went viral back then following the performance, for how well he carried himself and sounded up on that rooftop. 

Locals tried to find out who 'the one with the yellow shirt' or 'the one with the green jacket' was. Various media outlets who reported on the performance used Jimin-centered gifs, and several verified accounts also singled him out to praise his performance. Articles that were published about the performance also used his image as thumbnail photos. There is no doubt he caught everyone's eye. Jimin truly aced his performance despite his fears.

Jimin also showed his professionalism with how he was on top of everything at the shooting set. He gave feedback, shared his ideas, and offered directions, trying his best to contribute towards a perfect finished product for their performance. The same character has been seen in the 'memories of 2020' DVD. Most of his suggestions do get incorporated into performances, and they always add some color to the show. Jimin's professionalism is to be admired at all levels.

Jimin also spoke of how honored he was to be able to perform at such a big stage and stated that they were working hard to repay their fans for all the support they have given them to be able to get to that point. It is the same thing he had mentioned during his Weverse magazine interview. It further shows his sincerity and professional attitude. He knows that he has to keep giving his best even when he reaches unprecedented heights of success. He wants to be deserving of the support, which is not something that every artist has on their minds.

With all his hard work, passion, sincerity, talent, and skill, Jimin is a true Stage Genius and Stage Commander, a highly professional one too.
