The #1 spot goes to BTS Jungkook for being the most searched K-pop idol on Google worldwide as well as his other records on various social media platforms. 

The main vocalist of BTS holds the highest Google search index among K-pop idols according to the mid-year chart which was released in June. Jungkook has been the most searched on Google for 5 years now and is also the most searched K-pop idol on Youtube.

On Tiktok, the hashtag #jungkook is the most viewed individual hashtag on the platform with a whopping 69 billion views.

Jungkook’s Tweet “Duh” is the most retweeted Tweet in 2019. He is also the only person in the world to have 7 tweets in  “Top 30 Most Liked Tweets of All Time.” Jungkook holds the Perfect All-Kill record for @BTS_twt account; he owns the most-liked, most-retweeted, most-commented, and most-viewed BTS tweets.

On Vlive, Jungkook holds the Perfect All-Kill record. His birthday Vlive is the most-liked (2.3 billion likes) and most-commented (65 million comments) real-time meanwhile his Vlive on March 7th being the most-watched (22 million views) real-time on the platform.

Jungkook also holds records on Facebook for having the most followed K-pop idol fanpage (3.1 million followers), on Pinterest for being the most searched K-pop idol (based on US, UK and Canada trends) as well as on Tumblr, for being the most popular K-pop star for 3 consecutive years. 

In addition, Jungkook is also well-known among non K-pop fans and the general public. He is constantly listed alongside famous global superstars, for example when he was named US magazine People’s “Sexiest International Man,” one of Esquire’s “Most Memorable Personalities,” and one of Grazia France’s 12 sexiest men, for the year 2020. This further proves his unrivalled popularity among K-pop idols.
