Will BLACKPINK's Rose make history at the Met Gala?
On September 12, an Instagram post by the celebrity photographer Miles Diggs announced that Rose was spotted in New York City after a fitting at Yves Saint Laurent. According to this post, the fitting took place days before the Met Gala, potentially confirming her as this year's attendee.
If so, Rose will be the first K-Pop female idol to attend the global event. Her attendance will also mark her position as the muse of YSL, having previously created milestones for YSL Beauty and YSL Denim.

In other news, the 2021 Met Gala will be livestreamed for the first time on September 13 at 5:30 PM EST. The theme of this year's exhibition is titled, 'America: A Lexicon of Fashion'.

So i’ve seen some people on social media ask why none of the other members are going and I just want to explain why that may be. This year the met gala has to do with the fashion industry, most notably the American fashion lines. so some fashion companies are sending people to represent them. YSL decided to send Rosé as a representative. From everything that has been learned Rosé was invited by YSL and not by Anna. If the other members don’t go it’s most likely because their fashion brand didn’t send them. Regardless i’m excited for Rosé, this is a big deal!!
