Celebrities and media outlets within and outside of South Korea mention BTS's Jimin frequently. Such is the magnitude of his popularity within his home country and around the globe, as demonstrated by different occurrences spread out over the first week of August, whereby Jimin received shout-outs from a wide range of individuals, television shows, and media outlets.

Starting off on the domestic scene, Jimin was mentioned on 'Omniscient Interfering View,' a variety show on MBC. The show's cast noticed Jimin's autograph on the wall of a restaurant in which they had gone to have a meal.

Having been crowned the top idol in brand reputation rankings for individual boy group members for 31 consecutive months and 33 cumulative months, and having topped the Gallup survey for 2 consecutive years (which had never been achieved by another male idol before), it is safe to say that Jimin's popularity on his home tuff is unrivaled. 

As such, it was only natural that the cast members were curious and inquired about Jimin's visit to the restaurant. They asked about the dishes he had and were extremely pleased when they found out that some of what they had ordered coincided with what Jimin had. Not only is the recognition and mentioning of Jimin by the show's cast testament to his popularity and impact, but the waiter also purported that they had put Jimin's signature on the wall for exhibition as a commemoration of his visit to the restaurant.

Another industry professional, Nam Hyunwoo, a Director of Photography known to have directed photography in most of BTS's music videos, showed acknowledgment for Jimin. Hyunwoo posted four pictures on his Instagram account, two of which were pictures of Jimin. The pictures were the same ones that he had taken during the D'Icon magazine photoshoot back in 2020. Therefore, him posting the photos months later speaks to Jimin's impact.

Outside of the country, Jimin was mentioned in 'When You Wake Up Early,' a Japan variety show hosted by actress and comedian Kiriko Isono. She mentioned Jimin's background in modern dance, which explains his dance moves that are known to depict great ballet elements, thereby giving him a great reputation in the dance world.

Kiriko recently enrolled in ballet classes, and she talked about it while referencing Jimin on multiple occasions. The referencing was in regard to how Jimin stands in various scenarios, including dancing, taking pictures, singing, and in normal standing poses. She expressed her enthusiasm to be able to stand in the same pose as Jimin.

Previously, in July, she had expressed her love for Jimin in many aspects ranging from his artistry, fashion sense, and attitude and personality, among other things https://t.co/fsjJtnFzou?amp=1. She also mentioned Jimin back in January as she read a letter from a 52-year old BTS fan.

In yet another country, Yahoo News Taiwan compiled a video edit of Jimin's latest selcas on BTS's official Twitter account. The reporter reiterated the praises with which fans showered Jimin, saying he is more beautiful than Disney princes. They also mentioned his extraordinary vocal and performance skills, for which he is loved dearly, as well as his cool visuals that place him among the 'World's Most Handsome Top 100 Men'. They also sampled some responses from fans to the latest selca that Jimin posted. For anyone to create such a buzz by simply posting selcas on Twitter, enough to be picked up by a media outlet is nothing short of phenomenal.

In the USA, American singer and songwriter Pink Sweat$ posted a fan-made edit of Jimin with his song 'Call Me' playing in the background on his Twitter account. Jimin has been known to listen to the artist's music as in a previous interview with KIIS FM, Jimin recommended that same song. Additionally, he included another of the singer's songs, 'At My Worst,' in his favorite tracklist on Spotify from early this year. The artist has previously acknowledged Jimin when he saw him singing one of his songs on one of the group's YouTube channel BANGTAN TV.

There is no end to the mentions that Jimin receives from entertainers and other kinds of professionals from around the world, and this list keeps growing with each new day. With his popularity and amazing skill and talent, he is the exact definition of not just KOREA's IT BOY but also WORLDWIDE IT BOY.
