South Korea is a country that truly loves its cheese. For some reason, Koreans have a weird obsession with cheese -- whether that be topping on your spicy (or even on non-spicy foods), and of course, knowing the country that goes above and beyond on their trends, Korea is back with another menu item that's experiencing a "CRAZE." This time, it's cheese balls.
And it's not just a "ball of cheese" -- it's typically mozzarella cheese (or flavored cheese) inside a fried batter. The batter is typically chewier and has mochi batter infused with the batter. Cheese balls are not only popular for their taste, but they help mediate spicy flavors in spicy dishes, such as spicy rice cakes or chicken. Instead of it being completely mozzarella cheese, most cheese balls have a subtly sweet flavor because Koreans love their sweets.
Now, most chicken chains and even other fast-food chains (even convenient stores!) have set up their own version of cheese balls -- some looking scrumptious, some looking questionable. Check out the list of some cheese balls, and let us know what you think! Would you want to try some?

As a cheese lover I agree.
