Very soon in just a few weeks, SBS's 'Running Man' will officially break the record for the longest-running South Korean TV variety program in history!
Previously, the record for the longest-running TV variety program was held by MBC's 'Infinite Challenge'. The program began airing in 2006 and was loved by all as the "nation's favorite variety" program until its end, which came in April of 2018 at episode #563.
Now, this coming weekend on July 11, SBS's 'Running Man' will be airing its 563rd episode.
In one more week on July 18, 'Running Man' will officially break the record set by 'Infinite Challenge' and hit episode #564!
'Running Man', loved not only by viewers in South Korea but by fans of Korean TV variety programs worldwide, stars Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, Song Ji Hyo, Jeon So Min, and Yang Se Chan. Actor Lee Kwang Soo, also an original cast member of the program, very recently departed from the cast due to a persistent injury. Currently, there are no plans for 'Running Man' to come to an end any time soon.
Are you ready to witness everyone's favorite TV variety make history in the next few weeks?
Please don't forget the older members like Lizzy, Gary, and Song Jong Ki. They too helped make RM what it is today. Those early episodes were some of the funniest RM eps even today!
