BTS's J-Hope becomes the first and only Korean solo artist to surpass 6.8 million followers on Spotify

BTS's J-Hope surpassed 6.8 million followers on Spotify.

On July 31, Spotify announced that J-Hope surpassed 6.8 million followers on Spotify, becoming the first and only Korean solo artist to achieve this. J-Hope has the 5th most Spotify followers among all Korean artists, following the groups BTS (36.44 million followers), BLACKPINK (23.49 million followers), TWICE (9.81 million followers), and EXO (8.13 million followers).

J-Hope has consistently shown remarkable achievements with his musical releases. J-Hope's solo mixtape 'Hope World', counting all of the five tracks included, surpassed 700 million streams on Spotify. Further, the music video of his track "Chicken Noodle Soup" has received more than 280 million views on YouTube as of July 27th, the highest number of views among his fellow BTS members' solo music videos. In addition, J-Hope's self-composed song "Dis-ease", from BTS's album 'BE', surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, as of July 31.
