On July 14th, YG Entertainment confirmed that BLACKPINK's Weverse fan community will officially begin on August 2nd. It is expected that the communication between BLINKs (BLACKPINK's official fandom name) and the BLACKPINK members will be enhanced through this new platform. In addition to TREASURE and iKON, this will mark YG Entertainment's third artist group to join the Weverse community. YG Entertainment had previously announced their plans to form a strategic partnership with HYBE and Weverse company.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK has more than 63 million YouTube subscribers, as well as more than 20 million followers on Spotify.
