BTS recently collaborated with McDonald’s and the ‘BTS meal’ became a huge craze worldwide. The aesthetics of the collaboration were highly inspired by BTS’ V’s creations as fans flocked McDonald’s eateries to get their hands on the purple boxes that had ‘Borahae’ written on them. However, the media reported that another combination was gaining huge popularity in South Korea, and it is called the ‘TaeTae set.’
The media outlet ‘Drink Eat’ visited one of the 3 locations in South Korea where McDonald’s has been painted purple to celebrate their collaboration with BTS. However, the main aim of the reporter was to try the ‘TaeTae meal.’
V has on various occasions recommended the delicious combination of Double Bulgogi Burger, McNuggets, and Oreo McFlurry, and fans have popularized this combination as the TaeTae set. So whenever Korean fans visit McDonald’s to try the BTS meal, they make sure to buy the TaeTae meal as well. It became so popular that the word has become a common phrase in South Korea,
McDonald’s has been largely benefiting from V. His iconic “Oreo McFlurry, One please” phrase made the dessert immensely popular, and McDonald’s South Korea even used it to market the product. Even the US Ambassador to South Korea tried the Oreo McFlurry when he tried the BTS meal.
Now with the ‘TaeTae Set,’ the sales and PR saw a major spike, enough to get Korean media to visit just to try the meal.
