NCT Dream's latest album has surpassed over 1 million in first-week album sales.
On May 16 KST, NCT Dream's 1st album 'Hot Sauce' sold over 1,007,000 copies in total, becoming the 5th all-time biggest selling album in the first week. According to Hanteo Chart, the album made this record on the 7th day after its release and sold over 63,600 copies on that day alone.
Of all the K-Pop albums released between January 2008 and May 2021, the album with the highest first-week album sales number is BTS's 'Map of the Soul: 7'. This record is followed by BTS's special album 'Be', their 6th mini-album 'Map of the Soul: Persona', and Seventeen's 'Heng:garæ'.
As of today, NCT Dream's 'Hot Sauce' is ranked at 5th place, surpassing BTS's 'Love Yourself: Tear' by roughly over 7,000 copies. This is the first album from SM Entertainment to make the top 5 ranks for first-week sales on Hanteo Chart.
