j-hope today reached 6 million followers on Spotify, the first K-soloist to achieve this milestone and continues his reign as the most-followed Korean solo artist on the platform.
He has held this title since April 7, 2019, when he reached 1,367,980 followers and surpassed the previous record-holder who held 1,341,954 followers at the time. He has maintained the record and has accumulated more than 4.5 MILLION new followers in the following 2 years.
This is a spectacular achievement as he last released a single two years ago, Chicken Noodle Soup (feat Becky G), back in September 2019. Before that, his mixtape 'Hope World' in March 2018 was released for free on multiple platforms. j-hope has achieved 6 million followers with only 8 songs!
So, now he holds not only the record for the most followed K-soloist but also maintains 5th place for the most followed Korean act on the platform and the 165th position for overall acts on the platform.
This is a humongous achievement as an unpromoted soloist whose album is not still available on Spotify in his home country of South Korea.
Meanwhile, fans look forward to hearing more from j-hope as a solo artist and anticipate future comebacks!
