With the rise in Asian Hate Crimes worldwide, many Asian and AAPI communities are banding together to raise their voice against racism and these hate crimes.
Many K-Pop artists have also joined in and shared their message in hopes of dissipating hate directed at Asians. On Dazed Interview, G-Dragon talked about it.
"There's also a message about Asian hate these days also have a lot of thoughts I was born and raised from Korea. None of my west friends had anything like this. I don't know why it turned out this way but I feel too bad. It's a pity that you hate someone"
G-Dragon isn't new to social issues, as he talked about them, wrote about them and tried to help people for years. So no surprise seeing him talking about it.
if we want racism to be over we have to practice it in our own community, and we all know the treatment east asians reserve to dark skinned people in general (even to south asians), we can see it in dramas that mock dark skin characters or even idols despising people skin color...they say it's a local "preference" but it is something that need to be discussed and changed
