SM Entertainment is denying reports of TVXQ's Yunho attempting to flee from police.
MBC's 'News Desk' previously reported Yunho was out drinking at an illegally run adult entertainment business when he broke the social distancing curfew for restaurants and bars, and his friends attempted to physically intercept police so the TVXQ member could escape.
SM Entertainment then responded with a statement saying Yunho did break social distancing rules, but he did not try to run away from police. The label further denied there were any female employees present. SME stated, "It's a clear wrongdoing that Yunho failed to comply with quarantine rules, and he's deeply reflecting on this. However, he did nothing else wrong. He only violated the quarantine rules. Yunho went to a place his friend told him about after getting a call from a friend they wanted to talk to Yunho about their concerns. It was the first place he visited that day."
The label continued, "Yunho only spent time with his friends at the venue, and there were no female employees at all... Yunho also never tried to escape during the police visit. He faithfully cooperated with police and other related officers, and he was sent home after his identity was verified. Some of his friends did not recognize the people who entered were police officers as around a dozen plainclothes officers came to visit the venue."
Another report has stated Yunho's acquaintance did initially block police, but eventually allowed them to enter after they were told they could be charged with obstruction of justice. The same report stated there was no physical argument, and Yunho did not attempt to flee.
