SBS MTV's 'The Show' is changing their scoring criteria, upsetting international fans

On January 18th, SBS MTV's 'The Show' announced on social media that they will be changing the scoring criteria for the music program.
Previously, the program gathered up the points in various parts dividing up the score consideration with 40% Digital, 10% Albums, 20% Video Score, 15% Broadcast Score, 5% Pre-voting, and 10% Live Text.
With the new criteria, they will count up the scores from 40% Digital, 10% Albums, 20% Video score, 15% Broadcast Score, and 15% Live text. They will be getting rid of the pre-voting score, which removed 5% from the final score.
While the scoring system became simpler to calculate, many international fans are disappointed that it would be more difficult to vote for their favorite artists without the pre-votings included in the scoring. Some say the show is making changes for the worse by taking away the chance for international fans to vote since the popularity of K-pop is spreading globally.
I thought international fans can still vote using the app during the live broadcast, the only thing changed is that they removed the pre-voting, probably due to too much to handle and maintain for the system.

I don't think it's bad, there are already so many awards programs to vote ...
