Today, BTS is a name that almost everyone has ever heard of. Even if one is not a fan of K-pop or doesn't even follow the music industry closely, it is almost inevitable to hear of the name at least once. The same thing can be said about Jungkook, one of its most popular members and arguably the most well-known K-pop idol right now.
The fact Jungkook appears in the most random places beyond K-pop or the music industry in general, proves his strong presence among the public as he is becoming a global household name. Be it pop culture, the education sector, political articles, or even sports events, Jungkook casually pops up everywhere in almost every region in the world. Laid out here are some of those occurrences:
The United States and Canada
1. John Oliver said on HBO's Last Week Tonight: "Jungkook can just objectively get it!"
2. Spectator USA, mentioned Jungkook in one of its political article, 'Shouldn't AOC have Googled Jeremy Corbyn?' "Both inspire a special kind of crazy in their devotees, slightly more political iterations of schoolgirls who stab each other with compasses over which one Jungkook would marry."
3. American cartoonist Jim Meddick mentioned Jungkook and BTS in his comic strip 'Monty', which was published in New Jersey's local newspaper. "They probably scurried home to swoon over Jungkook in a BTS video."
4. When Jungkook and "baby" Jungkook popped up in the "Human Bonding" class at Cornell University, one of the Ivy League in New York. His name also appeared in an exam question from the University of Toronto, Canada.

2. Jungkook's name appeared in Siegener Zeitung, a local newspaper in Germany where it mentioned a local school's students working on Jungkook's outline in graffiti for their art project.
5. A guy named Luka Maric made a song titled "Jeon Jung-Kook" and it's all about how he wants to be perfect like Jungkook. The song is also available on Spotify.
Asia and the Middle East
1. Jungkook was mentioned in a popular Korean drama 'Crash Landing On You' in a scene where the female protagonist met a girl in Pyeongyang, North Korea who introduced herself as ARMY with Jungkook as her bias.
2. Jungkook's cut-out was placed in a lecture hall and around the campus, as a social distancing measure in a Malaysian university. Jungkook's name also popped up in a microbiology exam question in another Malaysian university as reported by Korean news channel MBC.

6. Jungkook appeared in an Indian local newspaper Times Life, next to David Beckham, Ansel Elgort, and more. "Jungkook, along with his BTS bandmates, is known for his smokey eye makeup."
Listed above are just some of the instances, best believe there are actually more. Jungkook had made a name for himself as a worldwide celebrity, and it reflects how he is the most Googled K-pop idol worldwide. Jungkook is now a global household name, and (quoting MTV UK), "...those households are blessed."
