IU has revealed why she sometimes forgets her own lyrics.
In a recent YouTube video, IU had fun singing live acoustic versions of many wintery songs for her fans. As a winter special, the singer-songwriter donned on a cozy sweater and chatted with her keyboardist in between the songs.
During one of the talk sessions, IU revealed why she often gets her own lyrics wrong, even though she has written them herself. When she couldn't remember the lyrics to Jung Seung Hwan's "My Christmas Wish", which she has written, IU responded:
"To defend myself, I wanna answer the question: 'How come she can't remember her own lyrics?' by saying that it's because I have multiple versions of the lyrics. You don't just write the lyrics once and be done with it. You have a 'lyrics_final' document, then a 'lyrics_final_final' document, and then 'lyrics_really_this_is_the_last_final' version... There are many 'final' versions!"
Netizens saw this and reacted that "all humans are practically the same," as some shared that they do the same thing for their school papers.
