Gil's big heart is making headlines this week!

According to an article that ran in the December 26 issue of Korean newspaper Maeil Business, the rapper, who was formerly one-half of legend rap duo Leessang, will be donating the royalties he received from writing and composing Rain's 2017 single "GANG" to children with serious illnesses.

While the rapper has not disclosed the exact amount of his earnings for the song, "GANG" has remained a popular single even three years after its release, so much so that a slang term inspired by the song "1 day, 1 'GANG'" reflects fans' obsessive need to listen to the single at least once a day. The music video also currently has more than 20 million YouTube views.

Meanwhile, Gil has been involved in a variety of projects in 2020, including recently starring alongside his wife and son on Channel A's variety show 'True Dad Confession.'
