BIGBANG, despite being on long hiatus with rare updates from the members, is still making history and breaking new records all the time. This time it's on the global streaming platform, Spotify!
The legendary group recently reach a total of 1 billion streams on Spotify, a number that set new milestones. They became the first 2nd-generation group to achieve this, and the only non-3rd generation group to reach the mark. In total, they're the 7th Korean act to reach 1 billion streams, as well being the group to achieve this with the fewest amount of songs. BIGBANG only released 67 Korean songs in their entire 14-year history, which is rare, as it is known that K-Pop groups regularly release 15-30 songs per year.
BIGBANG's last album was released four years ago, and they only released one album during the streaming Era. Their discography isn't fully available, and it was only uploaded to the platform in 2015, so it took them less than 6 years to achieve 1 billion, 4 of those years they were in hiatus with only 67 Korean songs.
Congratulations to BIGBANG, looking forward to their upcoming music.
