In 2010 Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun left TVXQ and went on to form their own group called JYJ.
This was without question the biggest scandal in kpop history at the time and even to this day. TVXQ was the biggest group in kpop and arguably in the whole world. So when all was said and done it changed the industry forever.
Fortunately both parties went on to enormous success as Yunho and Changmin remained in the group and continued to promote as TVXQ while JYJ (although blacklisted from Korea by SM Entertainment) went on to equal success in Japan.
In todays age when there's a scandal every 5 minutes in the industry we are quickly reminded of how tame these are when compared to the TVXQ lawsuit of 2010.
Were you a kpop fan in 2010? If so who did you side with? SM or JYJ?
This is primarily the reason why I hate SM. My boys didn't get paid and they're banned for life. I don't understand it. I love SM artists but I seriously don't know why SM's treating not everyone equally.
DBSK, Hangeng, CSJH The Grace, f(x), Jessica, and BeatBurger didn't deserve SM's unfair treatment. I mean, people are forgetting SM's the reason why H.O.T. disbanded. They were all doing so well but they just wanted to renew the contracts of KangTa and Moon HeeJun.
