Graduation is that time of your life where although you are the happiest but also the most scared. During the day, you get to be congratulated by many for your efforts and hard-work, given advice on how to live your life, and enjoy the perks of being an alumni; but as the day calms down and you are left alone in your room, you start to wonder about tomorrow; the tomorrow that may not be in your grasps yet but you have worked so hard for it. It is the promise of the unknown that makes you the most anxious. what if your dream is not what you wanted? what if you are not good at it? what if, what if, and a billion others ifs.

Although due to unfortunate circumstances, this years' graduates could not fully enjoy their graduation ceremonies, they were given something special instead: words of wisdom from the most powerful influencers. Among speeches given during the commencement ceremony some were revolutionary; From Beyonces' Call to Self- Empowerment to Obamas' Call for Strategic action, they all provided graduates with enough courage to take down mountains; however the one that stuck the most with me was given by singer, songwriter Jin of BTS. In his speech, Seokjin reminded graduates that it was okay to be "scared of the unknown world" standing in front you. He explained how suffocating it can be to see friends move on ahead and how tiring it is to watch them and compare yourself with. 

The part that truly resonated with us was his realization that "others pace was not his own", his reassurance that "if any of you feels lost in the face of uncertainty or doubt or the pressure of starting anew, don't rush. take a deep breath, you may find that any moment can be turn into opportunity", and his request to, "... take it one step at a time. you might discover the important things you were missing."

His speech was so comforting and hopeful that not only was it needed to be heard by the graduates but also by the general public. His speech although in Korean, was Universal.

KBS News Called it "The gift of comfort and support" for the youth who have to endure the anxious and frustrating times, over 7.5 million have just watched all over the world. His speech was also chosen by MBC news. 

TNT America Latina with over 2.5M followers showcased "Jins' Wise Words" on their twt account. 

The trending post about Jins' Speech on theqoo hot category got over 400 replies and 23k views. 

Philippine Media, Inquirer, Highlighted a part of Jins speech in their piece on the commencement ceremony
