This is an information thread.
International Kpop fans read K-netizens' opinions on Pann via translatr sites everyday. However the top comments on Korean community sites such as Pann, and news sites such as Naver and Nate are not always reliable. Especially Pann.
There are many obsessed fangirls who manipulate top comments by using bot. I will explain you how but firstly, read this note from an Allkpop user who translated a Pann article a few weeks ago:

This is the comment that was translated by Knetizen.com today

Here's my 2 experiences of many about witnessing the bot usage.
Once I was going to translate a Pann article and netizen comments about NCT. That article was posted the previous day and there was no new comment coming and the upvotes of the comments stayed the same. When I refreshed the page, there was a comment which said "I will edit this comment a few hours later." Suddenly that meaningless comment's upvotes started increasing and the real top comments started getting downvoted. Everytime I refreshed the page, the comment received 2 to 5 votes. It recieved over +300 likes in ~30 minutes and became the best comment. And then, the OP edited the comment with inappopriate pics of NCT members and bad mouthed NCT.
And today, I witnessed another one. I was going to translate the article named "Cha Eunwoo + Jung Jaehyun's average face" and the comments. The top comment was Jaehyun's pic which had ~10 downcotes and the 2nd and 3rd comments talked about Jaehyun's beauty. I went afk for 10 minutes and when I came back, I refreshed the page an noticed a huge amount of downvotes on Jaehyun's pic. Also an OP posted Jaehyun's pic and insulted him, posted 2 more comments. Both comments received a lot of upvotes in a few minutes till they became the top comments and the top comment about Jaehyun kept getting downvotes.
I started a digital timekeeper to prove it.
Currently the pic's situation is +566, -349
NCTzens called each other and came to support Jaehyun. They also said they they're going to report the malicious comments to SM Entertainment.
There might be 1 person who uses bot, who is most likely an SM anti, or many people. I suspect she's an SM hater because this happens mostly on articles about NCT and EXO. Just don't trust everything you read. They are mostly manipulated.
Not only the comments' up-downvotes but also the thread's up-downvotes get manipulated. If an article gets many upovotes, it becomes the trend on Pann so they tend to increase the article's votes too. Don't forget that Pann is also used by companies, so they also promote their groups.
Later I'm going to translate the comments on Cha Eunwoo-Jung Jaehyun article without the bot comments.
